The short version. We collect the minimum personal information needed to provide our website-building, local-SEO, and AI-visibility services. We don't sell your data. We don't rent your data. We give you clear ways to see, correct, or delete what we hold on you — at any time.
1. Who we are
MoreJobsLocal ("we," "us," "our") operates the website at morejobslocal.com and provides AI-search, local-SEO, and Google Maps visibility services to local businesses. We act as the data controller for personal information we collect directly from visitors and clients, and as a data processor for end-user data we handle on behalf of our clients (for example, contact-form submissions on a site we manage for you).
2. What we collect
2.1 Information you give us directly
- Contact details — name, business name, email address, phone number, website URL — when you book an audit, request a quote, or email us.
- Account & billing data — billing address, payment-method token (we don't store raw card numbers; Stripe does), tax identifiers.
- Content you submit — photos, text, logos, reviews, and other material you provide so we can build or manage your site.
- Correspondence — emails, call notes, messages, and any recordings or transcripts of calls you've explicitly agreed we can record.
2.2 Information we collect automatically
- Device & log data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, timestamps.
- Analytics — aggregated usage on this website via Google Analytics 4 (anonymised IP, no cross-site ad tracking).
- Cookies & local storage — see §7.
2.3 Information we receive from third parties
- Google Business Profile, Search Console, and Analytics — when a client grants us access to their own accounts for optimization work.
- Payment processors — transaction status and limited billing data from Stripe.
- AI search platforms — public data from ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews used only to measure citation performance.
3. How we use it
We use the information above to:
- Deliver the services you've asked for — website builds, SEO work, audits, reporting.
- Communicate with you about your project, scheduled work, and contract milestones.
- Measure and improve visibility outcomes (rank tracking, AI citation tracking).
- Send account, billing, and legal notices.
- Secure our systems, detect fraud or abuse, and meet legal obligations.
- Send occasional product updates or market-insight emails — only if you opted in, and always with a one-click unsubscribe.
We do not use your data to train third-party AI models, sell it to brokers, or profile you for any purpose outside providing our own services.
4. Legal basis (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with comparable data-protection law, we rely on these legal bases:
- Contract — to deliver services you've engaged us for.
- Legitimate interest — to operate, secure, and improve our services; we balance these interests against your rights.
- Consent — for optional marketing emails, non-essential cookies, and any processing that requires explicit permission.
- Legal obligation — to meet tax, accounting, or lawful-request requirements.
5. When we share data
We share personal data only when one of these is true:
- Service providers we rely on — hosting (Cloudflare), payments (Stripe), email (Google Workspace), analytics (Google Analytics 4), scheduling (Calendly). Each is contractually bound to protect your data.
- At your direction — for example, connecting your site to a new hosting account you've chosen.
- Legal obligation — in response to a valid court order, subpoena, or similar lawful request. We notify you unless legally prohibited.
- Corporate transaction — if MoreJobsLocal is ever acquired or merged, your data transfers subject to the same protections.
We never sell or rent personal information.
6. Third-party services we use
Each provider operates under its own privacy policy:
- Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, hosting acceleration.
- Google Workspace & Google Analytics — email, document storage, site analytics.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Calendly — scheduling booked audits.
- Trustindex — syncing public Google reviews onto client sites.
7. Cookies & tracking
This site uses a small number of cookies:
- Essential — session, security, load-balancing. Always on.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation, used to understand aggregate traffic. You can disable these in your browser or via our cookie banner (where shown).
- Preferences — to remember settings such as dark-mode or language where applicable.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, or social-login trackers on this marketing site.
8. How long we keep your data
- Contact & audit requests — 24 months from last interaction, then deleted or anonymised.
- Client records — duration of the engagement plus 7 years for accounting and tax purposes (Canadian requirement).
- Marketing email list — until you unsubscribe; suppression list kept permanently to honour your opt-out.
- Server & analytics logs — 14 months maximum.
9. Security
We use reasonable and industry-standard measures to protect personal data, including HTTPS-only transport, encrypted storage, role-based access, principle-of-least-privilege for internal staff, and multi-factor authentication on administrative accounts. No system is perfectly secure — if a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify affected individuals and regulators where legally required, within the timelines required by law.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to:
- Access — get a copy of the personal data we hold on you.
- Correct — fix inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete — ask us to erase your data (subject to legal retention duties).
- Restrict or object — limit certain processing, including direct marketing.
- Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Withdraw consent — where processing relies on consent, at any time.
- Lodge a complaint — with your local data-protection authority (e.g. the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the UK ICO, or an EU Member State DPA).
To exercise any of these rights, email info@morejobslocal.com. We respond within 30 days.
11. International data transfers
We are based in Canada, and our service providers operate in Canada, the United States, and the European Union. Where data is transferred outside your home jurisdiction, we rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent legal mechanisms to ensure an adequate level of protection.
12. Children's privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you by email or site notice. Continuing to use our services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
